How to Stay Entertained While Staying Home

Spending so much time at home sometimes might feel boring, overwhelming, or a mix of both. One of the best ways to stay positive and focused is by staying busy. Here are a few ways you can make your time at home a little more fun (or at least more productive).

  1. Create your dream office. Working from home? Take this time to perfect the setup in your office space, whether it’s an entire spare room or a corner of the living room.

  2. FaceTime with family and friends. It’s important to keep social connections strong even when you can’t be together! Set up regular video chats with different members of your family and friends to make sure you stay in touch.

  3. Move your body. An outdoor yoga class, an early-morning run, and online workout—regardless of how you choose to exercise, know that the endorphins will give both your mind and body a major boost.

  4. Get outside. If you’re not going outside for a workout, find other ways to spend some time in nature. Go for a walk at a nearby park or meet a friend for a socially distant hike.

  5. Order from a local restaurant. Small businesses need your patronage now more than ever, so make ordering out a weekly occurrence! Try to rotate through the roster of locally owned eateries every weekend.
