History Meets Adventure at The Barnacle Historic State Park

Take a step back into a much simpler time at The Barnacle Historic State Park in Miami. This is where pioneer Ralph Middleton Monroe called home back in 1891, and the shack he lived in is still standing today in the same condition as he left it. This historical park is a fun and educational way to entertain your kids for an afternoon or even just to explore for yourself!

Touring the historic home of Ralph Middleton Monroe isn’t the only thing to do here at The Barnacle Historic State Park, as the park is also home to many different fun and exciting events. You can attend Shakespeare in the Park and celebrate the theatre arts, or do something spooky around Halloween time when they put on the haunted ballet in the dark, which is really unique and interesting to see!
